Service is immaculate. Food is always hot and on point. Adult Slushies are my go-to here, great value and amazing taste. Best Wisconsin Bar in Colorado!!!
You cant go wrong with some fried cheese curds, fried pickles, and wings but the burgers with tater tots is what dreams are made of. We tried the adult slushies last time those things are trouble in a cup its mixed so well. If you sit at the bar you can see into the kitchen, its super clean all the time. Everyone is so kind and attentive. They can handle a rush and you wont wait long. The challenges are a cool plus that they offer.
Discriminatory and Unprofessional Behavior
My recent visit to Swanky’s Vittles and Libations in Denver, Colorado, left me utterly disappointed and appalled. Late on a Sunday night, with only a handful of patrons, my friends and I had a terrible experience that I feel compelled to share.
We ordered food and drinks, and the service started off poorly when our server failed to bring one of my friends their drink despite being asked twice more. However, what followed was even worse. The server brought out our food and casually remarked, “he should get a little food in him first.” We were baffled because we had no idea why she made such a statement.
Upon further inquiry, she explained that her manager had suggested that my friend, who appeared intoxicated to them, should eat before receiving any alcoholic beverages. At this point, my friend, who happens to be blind, calmly explained, “I’m blind, and all you had to do was say something, and we could have explained the situation.”
Despite her apology, the server’s behavior was inexcusable. Discriminating against someone based on their appearance, especially without valid reason, is unacceptable. The excuses provided only compounded the issue, failing to make up for the blatant discrimination.
Finally, the manager came over and said, “we didn’t know,” to which we responded, “all you needed to say was that my friend appeared intoxicated, and we could have explained that he was blind.”
This incident reflects a severe lack of professionalism, communication, and understanding on the part of Swanky’s Vittles and Libations. I strongly discourage anyone from visiting an establishment that engages in such discriminatory practices.
Came in right after having to outrun a tornado while running at Cherry Creek in Centennial to do the 3 Pound Grilled Cheese Challenge since I was running a marathon in Montana in a few days, had been on the road all day and needed a good place to begin my carb load. Grateful they let me do it as some places are a bit iffy and come up with excuses as to why I can't do their challenges, I got no resistance here, although the manager or owner (not sure what his role was) told me he gets a bit nervous when someone in shape like me comes in to do the challenge because only fit people seem to be able to beat it. I explained to him why that is the case - but I am certain other places deny my request to do their challenge for that reason!
I was able to beat the challenge, and it was very enjoyable! The grilled cheese with the mac and cheese and curds was very tasty and the fries/tots were enjoyable instead of a sodium hell that other challenges with a lot of fried potatoes tend to involve. Although I did down a slice of their oreo cheese cake after to balance out the salt which was also good.
Good service too. I still paid the $35 anyway - this place deserved it!
Came here on Saturday for several college football games, place was crowded but not obnoxiously so and the wait staff did an amazing job with our 4 (which became 10) person group. Food was solid bar fare and came out quickly and drinks were reasonable, slushees were surprisingly good compared to many I've had.
5 stars because of the service from Britt and Savannah, despite the crowds we got drinks and food very quickly and with a great attitude.
I recently had ACL surgery so was on crutches and a brace and Britt helped set up our tables so I could put my leg up and rest against a pillar. When an extremely inebriated patron fell on me Britt Savannah were quick to get the bouncer, and check on me as well as my group. Their service and genuine care made us all stay much later than anticipated. Thank you both, will definitely be back again!
Savannah went above and beyond with her service! She made me feel loved and safe. A brilliant mind, she remembered everyone’s order and how checks were split correctly. 100000/10 service. Highly recommend
Great little bar. Dive bar vibes, very affordable, shows the fights when everyone else has the broncos on.
Loved this place. They have a pretty competitive happy hour, a really awesome trivia night with great drink and food specials, plenty TVs to watch the games, interesting adult slushees, and great staff. Francie, our waitress, was absolutely phenomenal. Trivia night was a blast. The wings were great. Loved the atmosphere. I will definitely be coming back. Great bar and great prices too.
